PROFESI-UNM.COM – Kementerian Riset, Teknologi, dan Pendidikan Tinggi (Kemenristekdikti) telah meluncurkan portal yang berisi tentang pengukuran kinerja Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Teknologi yang meliputi antara lain kinerja peneliti, penulis, author, kinerja jurnal dan kinerja institusi IPTEK. Portal tersebut yakni SINTA atau Science and Technology Index.
SINTA berbeda dengan alat pengindeks yang sudah ada, seperti Google Scholar, Portal Garuda, Indonesia Science and Technology Index (InaSTI) dan Indonesian Publication Index (IPI).
Konten Sinta dari jurnal Indonesia yang telah dipublikasikan secara elektronik memiliki profil atau google scholar dan pratinjau Scopus berisi sejumlah kutipan, indeks-h, indeks i-10, pengembangan selanjutnya akan mencakup prosiding makalah, buku dan paten peneliti di Indonesia, dan profil penulis dari sarjana google

Pada bagian Citation menampilkan h-index dalam kurun waktu pertahun untuk Google Scholar dan Scopus. Sedangkan pada bagian networking, Anda dapat mengetahui networking dengan peneliti lain yang pernah mengadakan kerjasama dengan Anda.
Pada bagian Research Output berisi mengenai artikel jurnal, buku dan artikel seminar yang telah Anda hasilkan. Sedangkan pada bagian Score, Anda dapat melihat indeks di Scopus, Google Scholar dan InaSTI.
SINTA dapat secara otomatis mengindeks hasil karya yang telah terindeks di Google Scholar, Scopus, InaSTI dan Indonesian Publication Index (IPI).
